More on the Lord’s Prayer #2

What does the Lord’s Prayer tell us to pray for?

Matthew 6:10
“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” 

What are we asking for here? We are talking about doing God’s will. We are asking for the Kingdom of God to be established on earth as it is in heaven. We are saying we submit to the will of God so His will can be established in the earth. We want His will to be done so we can complete God’s plan for our lives and He can transform us into the likeness of Christ. This is what God wants and He is telling us what to ask for so it can be accomplished and His Glory can shine through us.  Isn’t this what you want?

By asking for God’s kingdom to come and His will to be done, we are yielding our life to Him so He can complete His perfect work in us.

As you pray this prayer, make the deliberate choice to yield to God and allow Him to transform you.
